About this talk
By now, we’re used to letting Facebook and Twitter capture our social lives on the web — building a “social layer” on top of the real world. At TEDxBoston, Seth Priebatsch looks at the next layer in progress: the “game layer,” a pervasive net of behavior-steering game dynamics that will reshape education and commerce.

He’s very excited about this, and the potential is there. I am already looking for ways to apply this to my business. There is a lot of truth to this. Its about 9 mins long and well worth the effort. Keep an open mind and think “How can I make my business more fun?” I personally am looking at how to use the LinkedIn example in my web design business’s conversion funnel.
How can you apply this to your business?
I think this is something that is really exciting, and I would love to know your thoughts, and how we can brainstorm ways to apply this now. A friend of mine @AdsMitchell mentioned an acronym to me (TEAM) Together Everyone Achieves More, I hadn’t heard it before, you might of, but I think its something very easy to put into effect and the benefits can be very big. So feel free to share, and lets see if we can come up with some interesting ways to make our businesses more fun.
One thing I know in terms of Blogs is the use of points for user interactions – Cubepoints – helps with that. Disqus, used on this blog does as well to some extent.
Aside: Notice I resisted using the common headline cliché format for this type of post popping up constantly online – “Social Networks are Dead”, I hate those. Just saying.
It does look quite exciting, and I have heard of Game Theory before but in other contexts. Look forward to hearing from you. :)
